My friend Clarissa did this, so I thought it'd be fun to do on a cloudy, freezing day.
The rules are:
1) Link to the person who tagged you (I did above).
2) Post the rules.
3) Share six non-important things / habits / quirks about yourself.
4) Tag at least three people.
5) Be sure the people you tagged KNOW you tagged them by commenting what you did.
so here I go...
1) I still watch cartoons. My cable includes the "boomerang" channel which includes cartoons from when I was little. (Snorks, Smurfs, etc)
2) I am obsessive about things. For example, I lock my front door at least 3 times before walking to my car, and then I check it one more time before I leave by getting out my car, walking over to the door, and checking it. I can't help it really.. I've tried.
3) If I'm interested in something, I try to read and research as much as I can about the topic. For example, I'm a birth doula.. and I've read endless books/research papers on the topic of birth, pregnancy, etc. It seems no matter how much information I've collected, it can never be enough so I keep going. I'm currently reading some fabulous books that are giving me insight into how modern maternity care has evolved to what it is today. Is intriguing.
4. I like whipped cream on coffee. It wouldn't matter if it were black coffee, I'd still put whipped cream on it.. don't ask me why
5. I have trouble letting go of things, and delegating tasks to others. For example, when I was 34 weeks pregnant with Charlie, we were having thanksgiving at my brother's house up here in Michigan (my family is from ohio and would be traveling north). I didn't want anyone to make anything, because I wanted to do it all. I had trouble letting other's help me that day too when I was busy making mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, rolls, pie and an 18 lb ham. My sister-in-law made green bean casserole and the turkey. I guess I feel nobody can do it better than me!
6. Believe it or not, I grew up listening to country music and I still enjoy listening to country music to this day. I get nostalgic when I hear the old country songs that I loved growing up.
I tag my fellow bloggers Kim Newman, and J.L. Gilbert
