the big three zero

I had to share this little tidbit. :)
Yesterday I turned 30. At my surprise party my daddy brought me a present. I was quite surprised because I didn't expect anything. He wrapped it lovingly in newspaper and duct tape and wrote my name on the package with duct tape also. When I opened it, it was an original ALF doll. I was puzzled and then he told me why he chose ALF. When I was struggling to get pregnant and was going through the adoption process, people would ask me what sex/race etc that we would choose if we adopted a baby. When my daddy asked me this same question, I answered quite honestly that I didn't care about any of that as long as they were healthy. I told him I wouldn't even mind if it was an an alien baby from outer space because I would love that child no matter what. :) He remembered me saying that and it stuck in his mind because more than a year after hearing that I received an alien baby from my daddy. So sweet and thoughtful. I had to share. :)
