OMG -- Who knew that as soon as my sweet daughter would turn 4 1/2 months old that we'd hit some kind of snag in our sleeping schedules. She's now 5 months old, and we're still not sleeping well. She wakes up multiple times a night screaming her head off. I don't know what to do about this, since she's never done it before. It's been going on for 3 weeks. Some people say I need to let her "cry it out" if I want to return to sleeping through the night, and I don't know if I can do that...I love my lil' sweet potato, but these sleepless nights are killing me. I've always been a big fan of sleeping, and I knew having a sweet baby could put sleeping on hold -- but when she went from sleeping through the night 8 hours or more to waking ever 30 - 45 minutes... eek! It's like having a newborn around the house again! At least she's smiley and happy during the day. :)
Just a small rant from a sleepless mama.

Denis is doing this too. I just read that they do this when they are mastering new skills. Like their minds are overloaded and buzzing too much with all the stimuli they are taking in. He actually slept well last night, after a week of what you described. Hope she sleeps better for you soon.
