swinging into summer

New:
Maggie talks up a storm. She says mama, dadda, hello and ut-oh as well as lots of gibberish. Maggie also uses sign language quite well. She tells me when she's hungry, thirsty, wants more or is all done. We're working on please and thank you.
She's trying her best to walk and will pull up on everything and then stand there without holding on to anything. She's teething, and has 6 teeth so far. She feeds herself and doesn't like "baby food" at all. She's mastered the sippy cup. She loves to be outside and is a content and happy girl who loves her sleep. She goes to bed mostly around 8:30 p.m. and will sleep all the way until 8:30 a.m without waking.. (she gets that from her mama quite honestly)

Kate is also a talking machine. She amazes me with her vocabulary. Just last night she asked me 'what happened to my popcorn mommy"? She know's her abc's and can count to 20. She's potty learning a bit and has even gone #2 on the potty a few times on her own. She's getting her two year molars and they seem to be bothering her a ton so she bites herself, on toys, and unfortunately on her sister too. She tells me her teeth hurt, so we're trying amber teething necklaces for both girls and lots of cold/frozen items. Nap times are a struggle and some days she won't settle for one.. but she's sleeping well at night so I'll take that!

Both of my girls love to swing (as you can see from the pictures) We love going to the park and enjoying our time outdoors.

I love being a mama, although it can be a huge challenge with two mobile children who want to go in two different directions. We're having a backyard fence installed this week. :)

Thank goodness for summer and swinging and outside time!

Hello! I know you don't know me, but we've got something in common. I got your blog address off the Stirrup Queen's blogroll and was wondering if you wouldn't mind helping me help a couple who is trying to add a little one to their family. We're holding a silent auction for them this weekend (Friday and Saturday) on goteamwitt.blogspot.com and need help getting the word out! We would love it if you would spread the word via social media or here on your blog. Additionally, we are always looking for more donations to auction off, so if you or someone you know might be interested in making a donation, all the information is under the donate tab. If you have any questions or would be willing to post a pre-written blog post about the auction and the sponsored couple, please contact Kristin at goteamwitt@gmail.com Thanks in advance for taking the time to consider this!
